A symbol of civilization, paper has accompanied human evolution, essential in everyday care and in preserving history.

We continuously optimize our treatments to reduce both the environmental impact and production system costs, while fostering long-term partnerships.
Our chemical solutions enhance paper production quality, positively affecting key properties such as softness, formation, and mechanical strength of the final product.
Our programme includes specific measurements and tests carried out by our experts, using a personalized and technologically advanced approach to deliver tailor-made solutions for each customer.

Renzyme Line

Enzymatic technology applied to recycled pulp improves the mechanical properties of recycled paper, enhancing production efficiency and reducing environmental impact.
This line of treatments can be used to achieve multiple benefits:

  • Improved inter-fibre bonding
  • Optimization of fibres and water drainage
  • Enhancement of the mechanical properties of paper
  • Increase in production speed
  • Reduction in energy consumption

Yankee coating

The Yankee cylinder is the heart of tissue production, where ensuring high quality and stability is essential.
We have developed a wide range of advanced treatments capable of delivering excellent production quality for every type of paper, tailored to the characteristics and goals of each customer.
The NCR Biochemical product line ensures optimal protection of the Yankee cylinder while maintaining high efficiency.
The technology behind our products also enables perfect adhesion of the paper sheet to the cylinder and allows for optimal management of the coating process, leading to outstanding results in both quality and productivity.

  • Latest-generation polymer-based film-forming agents
  • Vegetable, mineral or synthetic oil-based products with release action
  • Polymeric plasticising products or modifiers of the coating structure
  • Inorganic salt mixtures

Retention and drainage

To reduce environmental impact and costs, minimizing waste is essential.
We offer customized solutions – both single and multi-component – that help retain fibres and additives, improving paper quality.
Benefits include increased water drainage and production speed, optimized drying, and better sheet formation and strength.

  • Cationic and anionic polyelectrolytes in powder form
  • Cationic and anionic polyelectrolytes in emulsion
  • Cationic and anionic polyelectrolytes in aqueous dispersion

Defoamers

Foam, commonly found in pulp and paper production, can lead to pump cavitation, measurement errors, and defects in the final product quality.
We have developed effective solutions to eliminate and prevent foam formation, tailored for every type of plant.

  • Non-silicone water-based emulsions
  • Oil-based products
  • Synthetic polymers to be used both in high and average temperature conditions
  • Defoamers for coatings and biologically treated wastewater

Wire and felt conditioning

The increased use of recycled paper leads to a build-up of contaminants in the production cycle.
Our products effectively remove deposits and impurities, ensuring maximum performance of forming wires and press felts at all times.

  • Polymeric products for passivation
  • Polymeric detergents for conditioning
  • Acid-based, alkaline, neutral and solvent-based detergents

Drying section

The build-up of contaminants and dirt in the drying section is one of the main causes of paper quality defects and production losses.
Our passivation technology for dryer cylinders and dryer fabrics addresses these issues by preventing deposit formation and improving overall quality.
The Si.Pro.Tes system, with tailored dosing, enhances heat transfer, reduces breaks in the dryer and rewinder sections, minimizes cleaning shutdowns, and increases machine runnability.

  • Silicone oil-based products for dryers and wires

Control of pitch and stickies

The introduction of resinous and synthetic contaminants into the production cycle—originating from pulp and recycled paper—can lead to critical deposits on wires and felts. To tackle these issues, we offer two complementary approaches:

  • In-mass fixation: specific additives that neutralize and anchor pitch and stickies to the fibres, reducing their tackiness
  • Surface protection: passivating and softening agents that create a repellent film and remove existing deposits

These treatments help prevent unplanned shutdowns and extend the machine’s operational life.

  • Polymer-based products with fixative action
  • Surfactant-based products and block-polymers with specific action

We also offer laboratory analysis using flow cytometry, a technology that enables us to precisely assess the customer’s stickies issues and identify the most suitable, customized treatment.

Biocides

The proliferation of bacteria, fungi, and algae during the production process can lead to waste, machine breaks, and frequent shutdowns for cleaning.
We offer a complete range of biocides and anti-fermentative agents specifically designed for fresh water, wire water, and wastewater; short and long loops; coatings; starch solutions; mineral fillers in dispersion; label paper; wallpaper and fungus-resistant paper; adhesives for cartons; and catalase inhibitors used in cellulose bleaching processes.
All our products comply with FDA and BfR regulations for paper intended for food contact.

  • Mono-, bi- and tri-component products based on organic active ingredients (BPR approved, Regulation EU no. 528/2012)
  • Products based on oxidising active

Recovery of fibres

Thanks to our in-depth knowledge of the process, we offer tailor-made solutions for systems such as fibre recovery machines (DAF, Polydisc, sedimentation tanks), clarification plants, filter or belt presses, and centrifugal machines.
Our programs enhance the efficiency of fibre recovery units, improve wastewater quality, and reduce treatment costs.
